Words from the Founding Member, TL:
I was a sickly child and for years, battled poor health, sometimes losing the battle and often ended in the hospital for a great part of my childhood.
I often watched with envy my classmates playing and enjoying themselves during their PE lessons. I wished I could join them, rather than sit at the sideline.
Well, I managed to grow up and was determined to do something for sickly children and adults. And like they say, when adversity strikes, it makes you a better and stronger person.
I risked my life to have a second child despite medical advice and suffered renal failure. My hospital stay made me see the pain and suffering of many renal patients - a sight which I never forget. To see human dignity reduced to such pits, to hear their groans of pain and see them literally withering and wasting away. Some of the patients have been abandoned in the hospitals to await their death. They can no longer feed, some lost their consciousness....
I asked myself - if they have been given the proper care and the right food, will they live a better quality life? The answer is "Yes".
I then began my research into Food as the basis of Natural Medicine to improve the quality of life. Hence, my interest in proteins and supplements in everyday health and vitality, for both the healthy and those with patient conditions.
If you are healthy with no medical conditions, do continue to take care to give your body the right nutrients to keep it functioning well for the quality of life you wish to have.
For those with patient condition, it is about managing it well to live a quality life - with the right food and supplements for your specific condition. And of course, with a positive outlook, life is still great!
